Learn more at https://www.jnj.com/medtech We are searching for the best talent for Senior Designer- Orthopedics to be located in Warsaw, IN On October 14, 2025, Johnson & Johnson announced plans to separate our Orthopaedics business to establish a standalone orthopaedics company, operating as DePuy Synthes. The planned separation is anticipated to be completed within 18 to 24 months, subject to legal requirements including consultation with works councils and other employee representative bodies, as may be required, regulatory approvals and other customary conditions and approvals. It is anticipated following conclusion of the transaction, you would be an employee of DePuy Synthes, and your employment would be governed by Orthopaedics employment processes, programs, policies, and benefit plans. Details of any planned changes would be provided to you by Orthopaedics at an appropriate time and subject to any necessary consultation processes. Prepares clear, complete and accurate working plans and detailed drawings from rough or detailed sketches, design layouts, notes or redlined blueprints.

RESPONSIBILITIES In accordance with all applicable federal, state and local laws/regulations and Corporate Johnson & Johnson, procedures and guidelines, this position: Makes final drawings and design layouts using sophisticated software and computer aided design (CAD) equipment.

Checks and validates dimensions of parts in the relation of one part to another, and the relation of various parts to whole structure or project.

Presents finished designs and works with.

Designs major components or major portions of instrument systems to develop or improve products and facilitate manufacturing operations.

Makes standard and nonstandard adjustments as necessary or desired.

Uses in-depth knowledge of various mechanisms, drafting practices, and mathematics to complete drawings.

Utilizes expertise in finite element analysis, and other engineering calculation tools to prove sizing, materials, and specifications prior to machine fabrication.

Prepares complex three dimensional designs and models.

Provides advanced design and technical engineering expertise and solutions for mechanical and mechanical process interaction issues.

Makes layouts of complex assemblies and detail parts of devices and mechanisms.

Participates in and occasionally leads product development teams and/or cross functional teams.

Designs innovative new products.

Draws complex finished designs from sketches, redlined blueprints or from oral engineering presentations.

Conceptualizes ideas and understands inadequacies of designs.

Comes up with possible solutions to design problems.

Responsible for communicating business related issues or opportunities to next management level

Responsible for following all Company guidelines related to Health, Safety and Environmental practices as applicable.

For those who supervise or manage a staff, responsible for ensuring that subordinates follow all Company guidelines related to Health, Safety and Environmental practices and that all resources needed to do so are available and in good condition, if applicable

Responsible for ensuring personal and Company compliance with all Federal, State, local and Company regulations, policies, and procedures

Performs other duties assigned as needed

EXPERIENCE: University/Bachelor's degree or equivalent.

Generally requires 4-6 years work experience.

Utilizing interpersonal skills, ability to effectively communicate design information.

Ability to develop robust CAD models and detailed drawings is required.

Intermediate familiarity with GD&T.

Basic manufacturing knowledge.

Experience in model/drawing document control in Product Lifecycle Management system.

Experience with the any of following software applications is a plus:

Siemens NX 10 or newer

Windchill PLM

Microsoft Excel

Microsoft Word

Microsoft PowerPoint
