POSITION TITLE: Automotive Service Writer
REPORTS TO: Service Manager
DEPARTMENT: Service
POSITION SUMMARY: The Automotive Service Writer acts as the liaison between customers and the service department to ensure timely and accurate service and build customer relationships.
Essential Job Functions:
- Provides helpful, friendly and respectful customer service with a We Can Do That attitude.
- Combines advanced automotive knowledge with strong leadership skills to effectively collaborate with the service technician team to ensure best in class service to customers.
- Builds strong customer relationships to generate repeat customers.
- Creates work schedules and manages service center workflow.
- Leads and mentors junior technicians to assist in their growth and development.
- Road tests vehicles.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Secondary Job Functions:
- Cross train in other areas as needed.
- Other duties as assigned
Position Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience as an Automotive Service Technician.
- Must possess a valid Driver’s License.
- ASE Certifications and/or a technical school degree are preferred but not required.
- Strong communication skills
Compensation details: 50000-65000 Yearly Salary
