Research Analyst, Risk and Emerging Technologies

As a Research Analyst, Risk and Emerging Technologies, you will assess emerging energy technologies and help quantify enterprise risk to assist strategic decision‑making. You’ll play a key role in identifying disruptive trends, evaluating technical and regulatory impacts, and supporting risk‑informed planning. What You’ll Do Research and evaluate emerging technologies impacting power generation, grid reliability, and system load. Build and apply risk models using data analysis tools to support enterprise risk management. Partner with cross‑functional teams to develop risk mitigation strategies and actionable insights. Collaborate with external organizations and industry leaders to guide their research. Communicate findings through reports, presentations, and internal publications to drive informed decision‑making. What You’ll Need Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field, or equivalent industry experience. Experience with data analysis, statistical modeling, or risk assessment methodologies. Understanding of utility systems, energy technologies, or regulatory environments. Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable insights. Strong collaboration and communication skills across diverse teams. Preferred Experience in enterprise risk management or systems thinking approaches. Familiarity with emerging energy technologies and market trends. Experience working with industry and academic research organizations or external partners.
