Sr. Video Editor - Social

Cripes Media is a fast-growing comedy and content studio founded by Charlie Berens, a nationally touring comedian known for his distinct Midwestern voice. The company produces character-driven, highly shareable content rooted in relatable, everyday experiences—bringing a laugh to millions of fans across platforms. The Sr. Video Editor is responsible for executing high-quality video edits across all social platforms, including both short-form and long-form content. This role focuses on taking ownership of assigned edits from raw footage through final delivery, working within an established production workflow. This person will play a key role in shaping the comedic voice and pacing of the brand through editing, ensuring content is sharp, engaging, and platform-optimized. A strong sense of humor, timing, and awareness of social trends is essential. Must be available on-site/hybrid in Milwaukee, WI. Duties & Responsibilities Video Editing & Post-Production Execute high-volume short-form edits for platforms including Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube, YouTube Shorts, Facebook Reels, Snapchat, X, and Threads. Edit longer-form videos with strong narrative pacing and comedic timing. Take ownership of assigned projects from raw footage through final delivery, including assembly, sound, and basic graphics. Implement captions, subtitles, and platform-specific formatting (vertical, square, etc.). Maintain consistency in tone, pacing, and visual style across all content. Content Optimization & Platform Knowledge Adapt edits for each platform’s best practices, specs, and audience behavior. Stay current on social trends, formats, and editing styles to keep content relevant. Identify strong moments and cutdowns for maximum engagement and shareability. Production Support Shoot video content in-house and on location as needed. Record audio using simple production setups (lavs, basic rigs, etc.). Assist with lighting, framing, and basic production setup for shoots. Creative Collaboration Collaborate with the internal team on concepts, scripts, and comedic direction. Contribute ideas for content formats, recurring bits, and improvements to pacing or structure. Take direction and feedback clearly, and iterate quickly on edits. Asset & Workflow Management Organize footage, project files, and exports across projects. Manage multiple edits simultaneously with quick turnaround times. Ensure final deliverables meet deadlines and platform requirements. #J-18808-Ljbffr
