
Business Development Executive

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated professional to join our Career Products team at Mercer, a Marsh business . This role will be based in Charlotte and offers a hybrid work arrangement, requiring a minimum of three days per week in the office.
Responsibilities Prospect and generate new client leads through targeted email campaigns, phone outreach, and in-person visits
Manage and develop self-generated sales opportunities as well as leads provided by Sales Professionals and Lead Generation teams
Collaborate closely with Sales Professionals to educate clients on a broad range of workforce solutions beyond Total Rewards offerings
Build and maintain strong client relationships to maximize lifetime revenue and ensure client satisfaction
Participate actively in proposal development, negotiation processes, and closing deals related to Total Rewards Products and Services
Qualifications 1-3 years of experience in sales, preferably in Total Rewards, HR solutions, or related fields
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage clients effectively
Self‑motivated with a demonstrated ability to prospect and close sales independently
Ability to work collaboratively within a sales team environment
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
