Our client is seeking a Lead Billing Specialist to guide a growing billing team within a multi‑state, shared‑services environment. You’ll blend operational expertise with emotional intelligence, helping elevate both people and processes.

What You’ll Do

• Lead & Inspire a team of billing professionals, coaching performance, managing schedules, and fostering accountability.
• Own the end‑to‑end billing lifecycle, including project setup, invoicing, revenue adjustments, and month‑end close activities.
• Create, run, and refine billing and project reports to ensure data integrity and billing accuracy.
• Partner closely with Project Managers and internal stakeholders to resolve issues and hit tight deadlines.
• Deliver invoices through client portals and manage project inactivation/reactivation.
• Champion process improvements, helping scale and modernize billing operations in a high‑volume environment.

What You Bring

• 5+ years of billing and accounts receivable experience.
• Proven leadership or team‑lead experience (required).
• Background in mid‑ to large‑scale, multi‑site organizations; shared or centralized billing models strongly preferred.
• Strong communication skills, high emotional intelligence, and the ability to juggle competing priorities with confidence.
