Job Summary Provide service of high-quality meals and facilitate a gracious environment. This entails accurate communication and order taking, properly relaying meal orders to back-of-house staff, and offering exceptional customer service to cherished residents.
Responsibilities
Be present in dining room for full meal service.
Assist special functions as scheduled.
Maintain high cleanliness, hygiene, and a sanitation and infection‑free environment at all times.
Oversee bistro areas as directed – food presentation, cleanliness, stock supplies, beverages, make popcorn, etc.
Know the specials of the day and how they are prepared and presented.
Learn individual resident names, dietary needs, requests, likes and dislikes.
Serve hot food hot and cold food cold.
As directed, participate in the Quality Assurance Committee.
Sanitize tables and chairs, reset tables, and vacuum floor after each meal.
Attend all trainings, orientation, and mandatory meetings.

Qualifications
Experience:
Previous experience in a dietary department of a health‑care facility or restaurant preferred, but not required.
Job Knowledge:
Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
Standards:
Knowledge of and ability to meet regulations of ADA, state, infection control, health department, and OSHA.
