Job Description
Airbus Helicopters is looking for a Graphic Design Intern to join our Aviation Education Department based in Grand Prairie, TX. In this role, you will provide support in a variety of tasks, including creating digital assets (illustrations, infographics) and developing high‑quality designs for training and educational media.

Location & Working Environment Grand Prairie, TX, a suburb just outside the Dallas‑Fort Worth metropolitan area, hosts Airbus Helicopters U.S. regional headquarters with more than 1,000 employees.
Digital Asset Creation & Management (75%)
Work independently to design, source, modify, and develop visual assets for use in motion graphics, animation, and video projects. This may include original designs, illustrations, brand assets, archival material, and stock assets.
Organize digital assets and learn their place in the motion design and video editing workflow.
Collaborate with a team to develop and execute visual concepts at all stages of video production.
Translate abstract concepts into clear, concise visual elements, help create storyboards, and work alongside a video editor to bring elements to life.
Additional Responsibilities (5%)
Support the creation, editing, presentation, cataloging, and archiving of graphic design material.
Assist media production activities, including video shoots, podcast recordings, scriptwriting, and storyboarding.
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Currently pursuing a degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or Digital Media, or enrolled in related courses.
Experience in graphic design, digital illustration, or template design, including distributing content and managing digital files.
Competency in designing and preparing multi‑media material.
Authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship.
Familiarity with design principles and competence with Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator.
Ability to translate abstract concepts into clear visual elements, create storyboards, and collaborate with video editors.
Effective verbal and written communication in English.
Preferred Qualifications
Advanced degree in graphic design, visual communications, or digital media.
Proven track record of designed, finalized, and distributed graphic material with an up‑to‑date portfolio.
Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
Physical Requirements
100% onsite.
Vision: able to read computer screens and documents daily.
Hearing: able to participate in conversations and hear sounds on the production floor daily.
Speaking: able to speak in meetings and deliver information daily.
Equipment operation: operate office and personal electronic equipment.
Carrying: carry documents and equipment up to 10 lbs.
Lifting: lift documents and equipment up to 10 lbs.
Pushing / Pulling: push and pull small office furniture and equipment occasionally.
Sitting: sit for long periods during meetings and computer work.
Squatting / Kneeling: occasionally retrieve items from low shelving.
Standing: stand during discussions in offices and production floor daily.
Travel: none anticipated.
Walking: walk through office and production areas, including uneven surfaces.
PPE required: steel‑toed shoes for shop floor visits; hearing/eye protection may be required.
