This position is responsible planning for, managing, and organizing material once received. Resolves issues regarding shipments, assists others in locating parts, and gathers parts for kits. Responsible for maintaining the receiving area, checking the quality of all incoming materials, electronic component handling, and entering parts in tracking systems. Rejects and resolves issues with defective and non-conforming materials. Processes Space Flight Hardware. Processes Customer Furnished Material (CFM) and Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) when received. Handles all incoming material in accordance with industry-specific processes such as: Electrostatic Discharge (ESD), Foreign Object Debris Control (FOD), and other International Organization for Standardization processes.
Position Responsibilities
Plans for and manages material once it has been received.
Processes all incoming materials and equipment in the proper manner within a 24-hour turn-around so they are readily available and easily located.
Responsible for maintaining the receiving area, checking the quality of all incoming materials, electronic component handling, and entering parts in tracking systems.
Confers and corresponds, in a prompt and friendly manner, with establishment representatives to rectify problems, such as damages, shortages, and nonconformance to specifications.
Checks in all items listed on packing lists and/or paperwork for correct part numbers and quantities.
Has the ability to effectively research inventory history and resolve issues.
Reject and resolve issues with defective and non-conforming materials.
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED or equivalent experience
A minimum of 6 months' experience performing detail-oriented tasks
Proficient in MS Office
Ability to become proficient in systems such as Costpoint and Factory Logix
Ability to complete forklift training requirements and demonstrate proficiency
Ability to become proficient with test processes and tools
Working indoors in environmentally controlled conditions
Exposed to some dust
Expected hours 8:00am - 5:00pm
Exposed to intermittent sounds at a level above normal working conditions

Moderately active position
Occasional lifting (up to 30 pounds)
Ability to see details at close range
