26-11750 This role is performed in person at 3300 Manor Road, Austin, Texas, 78723. It provides on-site support services to Permanent Supportive Housing clients with a history of chronic homelessness and a qualifying mental health diagnosis. The Housing Stability Specialist is a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) who works within a multidisciplinary team to help individuals and families achieve housing stability. The position works with individuals to define and facilitate their desired life outcomes. Housing Stability Specialists deliver therapeutic interventions to foster skills necessary to manage symptoms, obtain/maintain housing, locate and remove barriers to housing, apply for housing and housing programs, and coordinate ongoing rental assistance. They may facilitate psychosocial rehabilitative skills training groups and/or use other evidence-based interventions or therapeutic modalities and provide service coordination for services related to employment, education, medical care, nutritional assistance, financial assistance, transportation, legal assistance, and resources addressing basic needs. QMHPs embrace trauma-sensitive and informed practices, provide Suicide Safer care, and foster a supportive environment. They operate in a dynamic environment, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, and develop knowledge of community resources. Interventions and services can be both office- and community-based and may require the use of a personal automobile. Individuals served may be diagnosed with mental illness, co-occurring substance use disorders, chronic health conditions, and/or IDD. Services may include individual, family, and/or group skills training using evidence-based interventions, crisis assessment, and case management. Work is performed under general supervision with moderate latitude for initiative and independent judgment. Regular, predictable attendance is essential. Other duties may be assigned. Responsibilities

Provide on-site support to Housing clients and deliver therapeutic interventions to enhance housing stability and reduce barriers to housing access.

Deliver individual, family, and/or group skills training using evidence-based interventions and crisis assessment.

Coordinate services related to employment, education, medical care, nutritional and financial assistance, transportation, legal assistance, and other basic needs.

Assist clients in applying for housing and housing programs and coordinating ongoing rental assistance.

Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team and under the supervision of a clinically licensed professional for evaluation and oversight.

Possibly facilitate psychosocial rehabilitative skills training groups and other therapeutic modalities.

Qualifications

Education Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university with a major in Human/Behavioral/Social Services or related field. Master's degree preferred. License Current and valid driver’s license and a clean driving record. Experience Preferred: LMHA experience. Hours, Schedule, and Compensation Hours: Full-Time Workdays: Monday – Friday Workhours: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM Salary: $24.18–$25.39 per hour, based on education
