Research and prepare information about public transit for blogs, print, and internal audiences. Communicate complex operational and policy matters to all levels of stakeholders. Compile, organize, and edit content provided by subject matter experts; manage the documentation process to ensure high‑quality documentation is delivered on time and within budget. Develop PR plans and timelines, write press releases, blogs, and other PR deliverables. Serve as company spokesperson and be comfortable and skilled in both broadcast and print media interviews. Establish relationships with journalists, particularly consumer product media, bloggers, and business press. In this position, the client seeks individuals with proven results in highly strategic corporate PR initiatives, experience with executive communications, consumer product marketing, and as a spokesperson. Exhibit excellent written and verbal communication skills, solid judgment and creativity, and the ability to work independently and as a team member in a fast‑paced, deadline‑oriented environment. Attend and participate in professional development activities both in and outside the client’s facility. Education Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, or Public Affairs. Experience and Skills
Four (4) years of professional writing experience in a technical and/or customer‑focused environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Word). Core writing skills: clarity, conciseness, audience focus. Technical expertise: software, platforms, subject matter. Process skills: research, editing, project management, collaboration. Tools proficiency: CMS, DITA, XML, Git, MS Office, Adobe. Position Details
Standard hours are from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with a one (1) hour unpaid lunch break. However, the contractor may request temporary services for periods in excess of seven and a half (7.5) hour day or a thirty‑seven and a half (37.5) hour week. Temporary personnel working six (6) hours or more are required to take a half‑hour unpaid lunch break. Overtime: Hours worked in excess of forty (40) hours in one week are considered overtime; all overtime must be approved by the contractor in advance. Equal Employment Opportunity
