Position: Funeral Director Apprentice or Newly Licensed Funeral Director Compensation $15 per hour
Job Type Part-Time
Location Sterling Funeral Home
Qualifications
Recent graduate from an accredited Mortuary Science Program and has passed the National Board Exam or newly Licensed Funeral Director
Valid Funeral Director/Embalmer License and/or the ability to obtain license in the state of employment
Valid state issued driver’s license in good standing and acceptable driving record
Demonstrated willingness to participate in growing market share through community involvement
Job Duties
Meet with client families to listen and arrange personalized memorial services
Ensure all files and paperwork are timely and in accordance with relevant laws and regulations
Conduct and attend services regularly
Understand and implement company provided training
Work on-call/first call, as needed
Utilize systems to review merchandise options, enter contracts and complete necessary forms
Direct employees to ensure they meet a high standard of professionalism and service level
Appropriately use corporate support
Maintain open and effective communication and accurate, up-to-date client files
Participate in community events, groups and/or organizations
