
Golf Starter - Ranger

Responsibilities
Greet golfers and manage tee times to ensure orderly and timely starts
Monitor pace of play throughout the course and diplomatically address delays
Enforce golf course rules, policies, and etiquette in a professional manner
Assist golfers with course information, directions, and general questions
Communicate course conditions, weather considerations, and special instructions to players
Patrol the course to identify issues related to pace of play, safety, or course care
Coordinate with golf shop staff, maintenance teams, and management on daily operations
Support tournaments, outings, and special events as needed
Report incidents, rule concerns, or maintenance issues to supervisors
Represent the company and golf facility positively at all times
Performing other tasks as assigned
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Strong customer service and communication skills
Ability to work outdoors for extended periods in varying weather conditions
Ability to walk or ride the course for long periods
Calm, professional demeanor when interacting with golfers
Willingness to work flexible hours, including mornings, weekends, and holidays
Reliable attendance and professional appearance
Preferred Skills & Experience
Previous experience working at a golf course, country club, or resort
Knowledge of the Rules of Golf, basic etiquette, and pace-of-play standards
Customer service or hospitality experience
Experience interacting with golfers of varying skill levels
Bilingual (English/Spanish) communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills and conflict-resolution ability
Interest in golf operations or long-term opportunities within the Golf Division
