The Job As a Food and Beverage Utility Porter at Park MGM, you play a vital behind-the-scenes role in keeping the operation running smoothly by ensuring every kitchen and service area is spotless, organized, and ready for action. Starting Rate $24.7819

Responsibilities

Clean ceilings, walls, and items that may require lengthy periods of time on a ladder; deep clean hot holding or cooking equipment (e.g., charbroiler, griddle, salamander, deep fryer); gather pots and pans to wash in a three-compartment sink or pot machine; breakdown, spray, load, unload dishes, glassware and flatware, and place them back to the appropriate storage location.

Maintain chemical detergents; scrape, wash, rinse, sanitize, and air-dry pots and pans, then place them back to the appropriate storage location as needed.

Wash baseboards, floor drains, hand sinks, tables, and cutting boards; sweep and mop all floors; wash floor mats; clean kitchen equipment including dish machines, ice machines, pot machines, prep tables, hot boxes, refrigerators, etc.

Separate and remove trash and garbage; place in designated containers; may handle biohazard cleanup.

Maintain inventories of linen and remove soiled linen.

Transport equipment such as hot and cold boxes, speed racks, push carts between hallways/kitchens and outlets; assist with delivery and setup throughout the property.

Polish equipment as needed.

Comply with regulatory departments and departmental/property policies and procedures (e.g., SNHD, OSHA, Fire Department).

Operate large electronic or gas-powered equipment (e.g., ride-on floor scrubber, pallet jack, forklift, trucks, power washers).

Complete mandatory trainings (health and safety, as required by company/department/governing entities).

Report equipment concerns to the direct supervisor.

Qualifications

High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.

Minimum six (6) months of stewarding or comparable experience; Culinary Training Academy Certification preferred.

Effective English communication, both oral and written.
