Job Summary / Objective The Marketing & Communications Associate is responsible for supporting the Roswell Marine Marketing Department through communications, reporting and day‑to‑day operations. This position plays a critical role in developing written marketing communications, maintaining departmental organization, managing reporting systems, and providing administrative support.
Essential Job Functions And Duties
Marketing Reporting & Analytics Prepare and deliver monthly and quarterly marketing reports across all channels, including social media performance, email marketing metrics, advertising placements, and website campaign performance. Compile and track all marketing initiatives into a centralized reporting system, reflecting a full “agency‑style” view. Maintain and update a monthly marketing analytics dashboard, ensuring completion by the first Friday of each month. Collect and organize reporting inputs from internal team members and external marketing partners.
Marketing Communications Write, edit, and prepare marketing communications such as newsletters, blog posts, press releases, and promotional campaigns. Collaborate with internal team members and external partners to gather information and ensure accuracy. Work closely with the Graphic Designer to produce finalized, on‑brand materials and ensure all communications are distributed on schedule.
Marketing Operations & Organization Audit, organize, and maintain the Marketing Department’s Google Drive and file structure, including assets, reports, dashboards, and campaign documentation. Establish and maintain scalable systems for document organization and version control.
Budget Tracking & Administrative Support Track monthly marketing budget actuals, invoices, and departmental spend. Maintain organized records of marketing expenses. Provide administrative support to the Director of Marketing & Business Development: calendar management, meeting coordination, travel planning, and task tracking. Act as a second set of eyes to ensure deadlines and deliverables are met on time.
Departmental Support Support the Marketing Coordinator and broader marketing team with organizational and operational needs, documentation, and execution of marketing initiatives. Provide internal coordination to ensure alignment across marketing efforts.
Minimum Skills & Abilities
Strong written and verbal communication skills with an emphasis on professional and creative writing.
Excellent organizational and time‑management skills with strong attention to detail.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to compile, interpret, and present data clearly.
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
Proactive, self‑motivated, and highly dependable.
Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work independently.
Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy and follow‑through.
Maintain a positive work atmosphere and interaction with customers, co‑workers, and management.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or related field required.
Strong proficiency in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive) and Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint).
Strong writing ability required (portfolio or examples preferred).
Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining organization and accuracy.
Excellent people and communication skills, both written and verbal.
Must be a licensed driver with a good driving record (subject to MVR).
Physical Requirements: • Must be able to work in a non‑climate‑controlled environment where ambient air temperature can exceed outside air temperature occasionally. • Must be able to bend at waist and knees and stand for extended periods. • Must be able to lift 50 pounds when necessary. • This is a safety‑sensitive position.
Preferred Education And Experience
Internship or prior experience in marketing, communications, or administrative support.
Background in journalism, creative writing, or communications strongly preferred.
Familiarity with WordPress or content management systems is a plus.
Basic understanding of SEO principles is a plus.
Marine, boating, or action sports industry experience or interest is a plus.
Additional Eligibility Requirements Must be a licensed driver with a good driving record (subject to MVR). Post Offer Background check and drug screening may be required for new hires.
Work Schedule / Travel Normal Office Hours 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM Monday – Friday. Occasional evenings or weekends may be required based on marketing initiatives.
