Graphic Design & Marketing Coordinator
Position Title & Department:
Graphic Design & Marketing Coordinator; Auxiliary Marketing
The University of San Diego seeks an individual with a strong interest in working within a mission-driven, faith-based institution to serve as the Graphic Design & Marketing Coordinator. The role supports Auxiliary Services marketing efforts, coordinating and assisting with all aspects of design, project planning, and implementation.
Duties & Responsibilities Graphic Design:
Creates graphic design pieces for all aspects of marketing and promotion for Auxiliary Services (e.g., publications, flyers, posters, digital content).
Coordinates with printers on and off campus for production of printed materials for Auxiliary Services.
Digital Media:
Configure and manage the back‑end system for digital signage platform (Poppulo software).
Utilize Salesforce to design and compose mass email newsletters.
Create content and update social media for Auxiliary Services accounts.
Maintain and update content (photos, text, layout) for Auxiliary Services websites.
Photography and Videography:
Responsible for photo and video shoots to chronicle events and generate content for websites, print ads, products, menus and social media.
Tools and Equipment Used:
Apple computer, digital camera and other office-related equipment.
Special Conditions of Employment:
Background check: Successful completion of a pre‑employment background check.
Degree Verification Requirement:
Persons offered employment in this position will be required to provide official education transcripts for degree verification purposes.
Minimum Qualifications
AA degree required; preferably in a related area.
Fluent knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud applications (Photoshop, Illustrator, and/or InDesign).
Requires five years' experience in a marketing/graphic design position.
Preferred Qualifications
Applicable graphic design certification is preferred.
Performance Expectations: Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Working knowledge of CRM software and Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
Ability to multi‑task and work independently and effectively under high pressure while handling multiple projects.
Strong writing and proofreading skills with great attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills; capable of representing Auxiliary Services in a positive manner at public events and with students, faculty, staff, and vendors.
Available to work occasional overtime during peak periods, minimal nights and weekends as required.
Posting Salary:
$27.00 - $29.75 per hour; Excellent Benefits
