Director of Marketing & Development Spring Dell is seeking a dynamic, creative, results driven professional to serve as our Director of Marketing & Development. This position oversees Spring Dell’s overall marketing and public relations activities, in addition to fundraising initiatives and events. Duties include creating and implementing strategies and action plans for special events, digital and print media, sponsorships, and fundraisers while developing and implementing public relation programs to enhance the image, awareness, visibility and reputation of the agency. Must be able to demonstrate seasoned affiliation with the Charles County Business, Non-profit and Community at large. Must be able to demonstrate experience and success with multiple fundraising events. The ability to create and design high level of print advertising material, and social media marketing techniques required.
Duties Include but not limited to
Formulate and implement data-driven marketing strategies to optimize the nonprofit's brand positioning and augment its outreach within the realm of adult disability support
Spearhead fundraising endeavors through the formulation and execution of targeted campaigns, donor relationship management, and proactive pursuit of grant funding opportunities
Engage in cross-functional collaboration to identify and exploit developmental prospects aligning with the organizational objectives
Harness digital and traditional marketing channels with a strategic focus on event promotion, program dissemination, and amplification of success narratives
Administer donor databases, monitor key fundraising metrics, and generate analytical reports to assess the efficacy of fundraising initiatives
Continuously stay abreast of industry trends, donor behavioral patterns, and optimal practices to enhance fundraising and marketing strategies
Cultivate strategic alliances with businesses, community entities, and other stakeholders to broaden the nonprofit's network and bolster its support infrastructure
Craft high-impact content across diverse mediums, including written collateral, social media platforms, and presentations, to effectively communicate the nonprofit's mission and achievements
Plan and execute meticulously organized events aimed at community engagement, awareness elevation, and financial resource mobilization for the organization
Demonstrate unwavering dedication to the nonprofit's mission while actively advocating for the rights and well-being of adults with disabilities
Experience with website design, specifically WordPress software
Proficient with design software such as CorelDraw and Canva applications
Minimum Requirements
Associate’s Degree in communications, marketing, or related field
Bachelor’s Degree Preferred
Ability to lift 50 lbs. or more
Clean Driving Record with 2 years driving experience
At least 5 years’ experience in marketing, including creating strategy, planning, campaign and content development, targeting audiences, data analysis, research, budgeting and project evaluation
Supervisory Experience
Advanced computer skills to include experience with Microsoft and Adobe Creative Suite. Experience with graphic design and layout – preferably in Canva, Photoshop and InDesign, Utilization of CRM software’s and various social media outlets including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Linkedin and Google+
Marketing experience with a range of media outlets, including print, broadcast and digital platforms
Demonstrate analytic skills
Strong interpersonal, oral and written skills to address a variety of audiences, with an emphasis on the ability to write lively and engaging promotional material as well as interact professionally
Strong leadership skills with the ability to bring together cross organizational teams, motivate collaboration, and facilitate problem solving to achieve organizational goals
Analytical and forward thinker, results oriented, self-organized, and self-starter
Demonstrate presentation skills for a variety of audiences
Flexible with the ability to adapt to organizational change
Strong organizational and operational skills, attention to detail and judgment
Strong interpersonal, oral and written skills, and the ability to interact professionally
