Loan Collateral Specialist - Entry Level

is growing, and we are seeking a

Collateral Specialist

to join our team. You’ll be responsible for coordinating and auditing loan collateral documents, primarily promissory notes, and ensuring accurate, timely delivery to investors and custodians. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, organized, and experienced in handling sensitive documentation.

Key Responsibilities

Receive, review, and audit promissory notes for accuracy and completeness.

Ship original notes and supporting documents to investors and custodians.

Review warehouse bank reports for collateral exceptions and resolve issues.

Collaborate with title companies, settlement agents, and internal departments to clear outstanding collateral items.

Monitor and respond to inquiries in the shared collateral email inbox.

Complete collateral document requests for loan repurchases.

Execute and notarize Lender Affidavits of Affixation for manufactured homes as needed.

Process and transfer eNotes, ensuring successful registration and delivery.

Shred closing packages securely in line with compliance guidelines.

Additional responsibilities related to business needs.

Qualifications & Skills

High school diploma required; college degree preferred.

1+ year of experience in post‑closing or collateral document processing preferred.

Knowledge of agency or document custodian collateral requirements.

Familiarity with warehouse bank reporting.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Ability to manage multiple priorities quickly and efficiently.

Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Experience with Encompass LOS preferred.
