Overview
The City of New Smyrna Beach Police Department is recruiting Community Service Aides. Location: 246 Industrial Park Ave, NSB, FL 32168. Hourly Rate: $21.3777. Schedule: Four 10-hour shifts per week. About the Job The Community Service Aide responds to non-emergency calls for service, conducts preliminary investigations when no known suspect is present, completes written incident reports, performs traffic control and minor traffic crash investigations, assists with planned operations and special details, and supports sworn personnel as needed. The position serves as a high-profile public service role that contributes to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the New Smyrna Beach Police Department. Qualifications Education & Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent; or any combination of education, training, and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job. Licenses & Certifications:
Must be able to complete the Community Service Aid training program. Must possess a Valid Florida Class E Driver's License and have a good driving record. Most successfully obtain FCIC/NCIC certification immediately upon hire.
