Job Description General Job Duties for Store Team Members
Operate all equipment.
Stock ingredients from delivery area to storage, work area, and walk‑in cooler.
Prepare product.
Receive and process telephone orders.
Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
Clean equipment and facility approximately daily.
Training Orientation and training are provided on the job.
Communication Skills
Comprehend and give correct written instructions.
Communicate verbally with customers and co‑workers to process orders over the phone and in person.
Essential Functions / Skills
Add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly (calculator may be used).
Make correct monetary change.
Possess verbal, written, and telephone skills for taking and processing orders; exercise motor coordination and rapid, accurate movements.
Enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
Work Conditions Exposure To
Varying and sometimes adverse weather when removing trash and performing other outside tasks.
In‑store temperatures range from 36 °F to 90 °F and above.
Sudden temperature changes in work area and while outside.
Fumes from food odors.
Exposure to cornmeal dust.
Cramped quarters including walk‑in cooler.
Hot surfaces/tools up to 500 °F or higher.
Sharp edges and moving mechanical parts.
Sensing
Telephone talking and hearing.
Near and mid‑range vision for most in‑store tasks.
Depth perception.
Ability to differentiate between hot and cold surfaces.
Temperaments The ability to direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, work alone and with others, work under stress, meet strict quality control standards, deal with people, analyze and compile data, and make judgments and decisions.
Qualifications & Job Requirements Must be 16 years of age or older.
Physical Requirements
Standing (most tasks are performed from a standing position; surfaces are between 36 in and 48 in high).
Walking (short distances, short durations).
Sitting (paperwork usually completed at a desk or table).
Lifting: Bulk product deliveries (cases up to 50 lb and 3 ft x 1.5 ft) unloaded by hand truck and stacked to 72 in high.
Carrying: Large cans (≈3 lb 7 oz); pizza sauce (≈30 lb); trays of pizza dough (≈12 lb per tray, three at a time).
Pushing: Trays on dollies (approx. 24‑30 in, force up to 7.5 lb).
Pushing or pulling as needed.
Climbing: Infrequently navigate stairs or ladders for maintenance.
Stooping/Bending: Forward bending at the pizza assembly station (30‑45 s per position, repeated continuously); front counter and stocking.
Crouching/Squatting: Occasionally to stock shelves and clean low areas.
Reaching: Continuously up, down, forward; up to 72 in to turn ovens, change signs, etc.; down for scooping cornmeal or washing dishes.
Hand tasks: Eye‑hand coordination; continuous use of hands; frequent use of forearms and wrists for shaping dough; manipulation of pizza peel, rolling cutter, pinching for box assembly; grasp cans, phone, cutter, peel, boxes.
Equipment & Tools Team members may be required to utilize pencils/pens, computers, telephones, calculators, TDD equipment, pizza cutter, and pizza peel.
