
Specialty Beauty Advisor - Lancome

General Summary & Scope
The Specialty Beauty Advisor – Lancôme (SBA – Lancôme) is responsible for maximizing sales in the Lancôme brand (color cosmetics, skincare, fragrance) by engaging guests, assisting in selection and purchase, and maintaining store standards. They represent the Ulta Beauty and Lancôme brand image to guests and support the Experience Manager through focus on performance, people, and process. This role requires passion for beauty, exceptional guest service, and product knowledge communication.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities Performance
Meet or exceed Lancôme brand sales and clientele goals and contribute to store sales, guest loyalty, omni‑channel, and shrink goals.
Ensure each guest receives exceptional service by greeting, engaging, personalizing, offering samples, and recommending complementary products/services.
Perform makeup applications, skincare analysis, and product demonstrations with guests.
Stay current on prestige training to drive category performance.
Book appointments and support services and in‑store events that deliver guest experience while meeting sales goals.
Build and maintain strong customer relationships and active contact with a growing customer list for Lancôme brand sales.
Stay informed about industry trends, products, and services to better serve guests.
Maintain prompt, regular attendance.
People
Contribute to an inclusive and collaborative environment that supports teammates, peers, and guests.
Share benefits of the guest loyalty program with guests on the sales floor.
Maintain relationships with Lancôme brand partners through required trainings and in‑store events/promotions.
Collaborate with managers and associates to grow the business.
Participate in ongoing training for brand and category education.
Process
Know and ensure adherence to Ulta Beauty policies, procedures, and standards.
Adhere to Ulta Beauty and Lancôme brand dress code, including wearing brand assets as directed.
Maintain outstanding store operational standards, including cleanliness of the Lancôme area, testers, demo stations, sales floor, restrooms, cash wrap, backroom, and break area.
Participate in merchandise resets, planograms, marketing displays, inventory procedures, and shipment processing.
Protect company assets by following loss‑prevention best practices and providing guest service.
Execute other operational tasks as directed.
Job Qualifications Education
High‑school diploma preferred.
Cosmetology or demonstrator license where required.
Experience
Cosmetics artistry experience preferred.
Skills
Demonstrates significant competency in sales, products, and service.
Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to handle guest concerns and prioritize tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
Special Position Requirements
Work a flexible schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Attend brand‑sponsored trainings.
Working Conditions
Frequent mobility during shift.
Frequent standing, bending, pulling, pushing, reaching, and twisting.
Continuous lifting and/or moving up to 10 lbs.
Continuous coordination and manipulation of objects.
