
Customer Service Representative, Residential Dining

Position Overview
Customer Service Representatives provide internal and external customer support for University functions, events, and services including housing, dining, hospitality, transportation, facilities, athletics and agriculture. Tasks require knowledge of University policies, procedures, practices and protocols to troubleshoot issues, provide timely resolutions and assistance, and promote and market products, projects, programs and services.
Responsibilities
Greet faculty, staff, students and visitors, often serving as the first point of contact; assist in person, electronically, by telephone or mail.
Use knowledge of University policies, procedures, practices and protocols to investigate and respond to issues; isolate and troubleshoot problems; provide guidance and solutions; follow‑up as necessary; and elevate as required.
Facilitate a variety of customer experiences, including processing orders and registrations, creating ID cards and specialty badges, and communicating logistics information such as campus navigation, parking and facility access restrictions.
Promote and market products, projects, programs and services and work to meet customer needs and preferences.
Provide on‑site and e‑commerce ticketing and product sales; verify eligibility; process or collect fees; prepare invoices; settle payments and issue receipts or refunds.
Communicate product and service improvement recommendations to support changing business needs.
Operate computers, point‑of‑sale systems and other equipment to expedite purchases, research and data entry.
Maintain manuals, documents, knowledge‑base articles and records.
Process financial transactions and assist with inventories.
May supervise part‑time staff, including hiring and performance management.
Minimum Education, Work Experience & Required Certifications General Equivalency Diploma (GED) or High School (HS). Prior relevant work experience accepted in lieu of education. Required Certifications: None.
Background Checks/Clearances Employment requires successful completion of background check(s) in accordance with University policies.
Salary & Benefits The salary range for this position is $31,600.00 – $45,800.00.
