
Junior Architectural Designer - AZ or NYC

This is a Full Time - In Person Entry Level position in our Scottsdale AZ, or West Village, NYC Studio working on high-end luxury residential, hospitality/lifestyle projects throughout the United States. An appreciation and basic understanding of classic design and proportion is essential, balanced with the desire to re-interpret precedent and integrate modern flourishes that create elegant, modern, yet timeless environments.
QUALIFICATIONS
Professional degree in Architecture from a NAAB accredited program
0 - 3 years post graduate experience
Non-licensed architectural staff
Proficient at AutoCAD and/or Revit and SketchUp and other 3D visualization software
Independently perform a variety of assignments requiring skills in all conventional aspects of architecture for projects of moderate size and complexity
Take ownership of specific design aspects and smaller projects, leading design development, coordination, and documentation
Entry level professional performing basic architectural assignments requiring the application of standard architectural techniques for small projects or selected segments of larger projects
Committed to continuing to learn and develop skills and talents in our profession
Work closely with all members of the studio, assisting them in tasks such as drafting, modeling, research, and documentation
Show enthusiasm for your work and take the initiative to learn from your colleagues and take on additional responsibilities whenever possible
Develop strong time management skills to meet deadlines, working efficiently and effectively
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop design concepts under the guidance of senior team members
Assist in the preparation of bid, permitting and construction documents for contractors, building stakeholders, and municipal submittals
Assist in the preparation of architectural design materials such as presentation drawings, 3D modeling/renderings, etc. for client review and approval
Research and produce design and construction documents for code compliance, quality control, and constructability
Independently conduct field surveys and site assessments
