Job Description Reporting to the Group Housing Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
Responsibilities
Key room reservations contact for group programs, from initial turnover process until event date
Ensure proper notes, billing and special requests are completed
Attend weekly pick up meeting and assist in group forecasting
Consistently offers professional, engaging and friendly service
Prepare and send rooming lists, pick up reports and other information to the group contacts
Maintain good working relationships with Global Reservations Centre, Travel Agents and external /internal Guests
Respond to all reservation requests and incoming calls in a courteous, efficient, professional and friendly manner in adherence to Fairmont Hotels & Resorts standards
Provide administrative support to Group Housing Manager and action items as required in an efficient and professional manner
All other duties as assigned

Previous hotel experience and customer service experience required
Experience with Opera PMS, Passkey GroupMax & Opera Sales & Catering preferred
Ability to work a flexible schedule which may include evenings, weekends and holidays.
Computer literate in Microsoft Window applications required
Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Highly responsible & reliable
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
Effectively deal with guests and other team members
Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets
Physical Demands This position requires:
Frequent sitting throughout shift
Occasional kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting, walking and standing
Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps
