
Customer Service Representative

OVERVIEW
Primary responsibility of this position is to coordinate and manage the customer ordering process, including creating order acknowledgements, posting signed acknowledgements and payments, communicating with customers about deliveries and backorders, and answering general order/material questions. Also maintain customer relationships and perform general office duties.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Process order acknowledgements from inception, record approval documents, accept payment and set delivery of product.
Answer product and service questions for prospective customers and suggest additional products and services.
Maintain customer records by updating account information.
Resolve product or service problems by clarifying complaints, determining causes, selecting and explaining solutions, expediting correction, and following up to ensure resolution.
Provide clerical and administrative support as needed.
Assist with showroom support and customer selection as needed.
ACCOUNTABILITIES & PERFORMANCE MEASURES
Time management, customer engagement, attention to detail, organization.
WORK ENVIRONMENT Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds. Must multitask and complete tasks in both office and warehouse settings. Occasional exposure to outdoor weather conditions.
REQUIREMENTS & EDUCATION
High school diploma or GED.
Ability to type 30‑35 words per minute.
