Concrete Finisher Foremen
Location: Suffolk, VA, US, 23432 Requisition ID: 12179 Garney Construction has a Concrete Finisher Foreman position available. The Concrete Finisher Foreman leads concrete crews through all phases of placing, finishing, and curing concrete for structural and flatwork projects. This role is responsible for making sure the job is done right, on plan, and safely, while working hands-on with finishers and laborers to keep production moving and quality high. What You Will Be Doing
Supervise daily concrete placement and finishing operations Operate and direct use of hand and power finishing tools Coordinate labor, equipment, and materials with site leadership Lead safety briefings and enforce PPE and safe work practices Train and mentor concrete finishers and apprentices Monitor weather and site conditions to adjust pours and curing methods Maintain daily reports, documentation, and crew time records What We Are Looking For
Expert knowledge of concrete placement, finishing, curing, and repair methods Ability to read and interpret blueprints, grades, and finish requirements Proven experience leading crews and coordinating work to meet production goals Strong focus on jobsite safety, quality workmanship, and attention to detail Proficient with hand and power concrete finishing tools and equipment High school diploma or GED (Required) 5+ years of hands-on concrete finishing experience (Required) 1+ year in a foreman or supervisory role (Preferred) OSHA 30 certification (Preferred or ability to obtain upon hire) The Perks!
