Davies Claims North America is seeking a Claims Representative I to join our team supporting the Maryland Transit Administration (MTA). In this role, you will be responsible for managing, investigating, and resolving minor property damage and bodily injury claims arising from MTA operations. You will work under close supervision while developing foundational claims handling skills in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. Key Responsibilities
Manage a caseload of approximately 150175 claims, including files with multiple claimants. Investigate claims involving automobile property damage, bodily injury, and general liability. Evaluate claim details to determine liability and exposure. Assist in establishing and maintaining appropriate reserves (typically $10,000 or less). Maintain accurate and timely documentation, diary entries, and claim notes. Communicate with claimants, insureds, witnesses, and internal stakeholders. Support the resolution of claims through investigation and settlement activities. Ensure compliance with client guidelines, company standards, and regulatory requirements. Perform additional duties as assigned to support team and operational goals. Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
High school diploma or GED required. Minimum 1 year of experience handling or supporting claims involving: Automobile property damage Bodily injury General liability claims. Basic understanding of claims investigation and settlement processes. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage a high-volume workload in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Benefits
