PBR Chevron Showdown Marketing Intern (Odessa/Midland, TX)

Location: Odessa/Midland, TX (Remote with local market focus) Duration: April 15 – June 5 Compensation: $18/hour + commission on group sales About the Role The PBR Chevron Showdown Marketing Intern will play a key role in driving local awareness, fan engagement, and ticket sales for the upcoming PBR Chevron Showdown. This position is ideal for a motivated, community-connected individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is eager to gain hands-on experience in sports marketing, event promotion, and sales. While the role is remote, the intern must be based in the Odessa/Midland area and deeply familiar with local community opportunities, businesses, and events. Key Responsibilities Grassroots Marketing & Community Engagement Identify and execute grassroots marketing opportunities throughout Odessa/Midland Build relationships with local businesses, schools, organizations, and community groups Coordinate flyer distribution, on-site activations, and promotional partnerships Represent the event in-market and serve as a local brand ambassador Group Sales Development Generate and sell group ticket packages to local organizations, companies, and community groups Prospect new leads through outreach, networking, and community involvement Manage sales pipeline and track outreach efforts Deliver exceptional customer service to group buyers Event Support Assist with pre-event promotional efforts and logistics Be on-site for event execution on Wednesday, June 3 and Thursday, June 4 Support fan engagement initiatives and on-the-ground marketing activations Qualifications Based in Odessa/Midland, TX Strong understanding of the local community, events, and networks Self-starter with the ability to work independently and take initiative Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Interest in sports, live events, marketing, or sales Prior experience in sales, promotions, or event marketing is a plus What We’re Looking For We’re looking for someone who is: Highly motivated and entrepreneurial in approach Well-connected in the Odessa/Midland community Creative in developing grassroots marketing ideas Driven by results , especially in generating group sales #J-18808-Ljbffr
