Overview Work Arrangement: Hybrid with flexibility (potential to become primarily remote) Salary Range: $100,000 - $120,000 (flexible based on experience) Proposal Specialist (Marketing) Location: Baltimore, MD Location/Work Arrangement: Hybrid with flexibility (potential to become primarily remote) Salary Range: $100,000 - $120,000 (flexible based on experience) A growing organization within the AEC / MEP industry is seeking an experienced Proposal Specialist to lead and manage the full proposal lifecycle in support of marketing and business development efforts. This is a newly created role that offers strong visibility, leadership partnership, and future growth within a collaborative and engaged marketing team. The role reports directly to senior marketing leadership and works closely with technical teams, business development professionals, and executive leadership. Responsibilities Lead and manage the full proposal process from RFP review through final submission Facilitate Go/No-Go discussions and support procurement tracking Partner with internal stakeholders to develop proposal strategies, timelines, and content Produce high-quality Statements of Qualification (SOQs) and proposals in both digital and print formats Support broader marketing and business development initiatives Conduct client debriefs to improve future pursuit strategies Identify and secure teaming partners in collaboration with Business Development and Market Sector leaders Train technical staff on proposal writing, presentation best practices, and pursuit processes Manage marketing resources including content libraries, opportunity tracking, and CRM/database systems (Deltek preferred) Ensure consistency across branding, marketing collateral, social media, and photography Represent the organization at industry and community events Plan and execute internal events to support employee engagement Qualifications Bachelor's degree required 5-8+ years of relevant experience preferred Background in the AEC / MEP industry strongly preferred (Architecture, Engineering, Construction, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) Strong understanding of proposal development, pursuit strategy, Go/No-Go processes, and business development principles Proven experience producing SOQs and proposals, including both digital and print delivery Hands-on graphic design experience with strong visual design sensibility Proficiency with Adobe InDesign, Microsoft Office Suite, and CRM/asset management systems (Deltek preferred) Excellent organizational, communication, and project management skills Demonstrated ability to collaborate across teams and leadership levels Work Schedule & Environment Monday-Thursday: 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM Friday: 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM (flexible) Dress Code: Business casual Hybrid work environment with flexibility for remote work Team & Career Development Marketing team of four Highly tenured leadership with a strong focus on mentorship and engagement Supportive environment with clear career growth opportunities Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary range of $100,000 - $120,000 , flexible based on experience Medical and dental insurance 401(k) plan Life insurance Short-term and long-term disability Gym membership Interview Process Resume review Virtual interview with senior leadership In-person interview This opportunity is ideal for a strategic, detail-oriented proposal professional seeking a visible role with long-term growth potential in a collaborative, marketing-driven environment.
