
Social Media Manager - Full Time (Beginning July, 2026)

Nerinx Hall is seeking a creative, organized, and mission-driven Social Media Manager to lead the school’s social media presence across multiple platforms. This role is responsible for developing and executing engaging content that reflects the spirit of Nerinx Hall, highlights student life, and strengthens connections with key audiences including prospective families, current families, alumnae, and the broader community.
This is a highly collaborative role that works across departments to ensure consistent, compelling storytelling aligned with the school’s mission and brand.
The Social Media Manager reports to the Director of Communications.
Key Responsibilities
Content Creation & Storytelling
Capture and produce high-quality photo and video content that reflects daily life at Nerinx Hall, including events, academics, arts, athletics, and student experiences
Create short-form video content for social media platforms (e.g., Instagram Reels, TikTok)
Develop and maintain a consistent, mission-aligned voice and visual identity across platforms
Organize and maintain a digital library of photo and video assets
Social Media Management
Manage and maintain Nerinx Hall’s official social media presence across major platforms
Plan and execute a strategic content calendar that balances a high volume of content across multiple audiences and priorities
Monitor engagement, respond as appropriate, and ensure a positive and consistent brand presence
Track performance and provide regular analytics reports with insights and recommendations
Recruit, train, and oversee a team of student content creators who contribute to social media coverage
Provide guidance, structure, and creative direction to ensure content aligns with Nerinx Hall’s brand and communication goals
Coordinate student coverage of events and school activities
Provide oversight and guidance for student-run club and organization social media accounts
Maintain clear expectations and policies for student use of social media
Serve as a resource for students managing accounts and ensure alignment with institutional standards
Collaborate with departments across the school - including Admissions, Advancement, Athletics, and Campus Ministry - to support events, initiatives, and storytelling needs
Assist in promoting key school initiatives and campaigns through coordinated social media efforts
Website & Digital Content Support
Contribute content to the Nerinx Hall website, including student highlights and alumnae features
Assist in the creation and distribution of a weekly internal email newsletter
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Media, or a related field
1–3 years of relevant experience (including internships or college experience)
Strong photography and videography skills, with the ability to capture and edit engaging content
Familiarity with social media platforms, trends, and best practices
Basic experience with video editing and content creation tools
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
Comfort working in a fast-paced, event-driven environment
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
Preferred Skills
Experience with social media analytics and performance tracking
Familiarity with paid social media advertising
Experience working with students or youth in a leadership or mentorship capacity
