Overview Marketing Automation Specialist (Marketo)
Location: Hybrid (3 days onsite: Tuesday-Thursday)
Schedule: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM CST (1-hour lunch)
Assignment Length: 2 years
Key Responsibilities Build, QA, and execute low-to-medium complexity omnichannel campaigns, including email, direct mail, and media
Develop customer journeys, including base cadences and trigger-based programs to deliver personalized communications
Ensure high-quality, on-time, error-free campaign execution within Marketo (or similar platforms)
Create and maintain quality control documentation to ensure accuracy and consistency
Monitor email deliverability, domain health, and IP reputation; recommend and implement optimizations
Identify campaign issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions
Develop and execute test plans (A/B testing, segmentation, timing, etc.) and recommend performance improvements
Participate in agile workflows including design, build, QA, and ongoing optimization
Collaborate cross-functionally with Brand Marketing, Strategy, IT, Analytics, and external agencies
Provide regular project updates, flag risks, and ensure alignment with stakeholders
Stay current on industry trends, tools, and best practices in 1:1 and email marketing
Top Skills & Qualifications Required Skills: Hands-on experience with Marketo or Salesforce Marketing Cloud, marketing automation platforms
Strong experience managing omnichannel campaigns (email, direct mail, digital media)
Solid analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and optimize performance
Strong project management and cross-functional collaboration skills
High attention to detail with a focus on QA, testing, and error-free execution
Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
3 years of experience in database marketing, CRM, email, or 1:1 marketing
Minimum 3 years of hands-on campaign execution in enterprise marketing automation platform: Marketo or SFMC
Understanding of email marketing best practices, deliverability, and customer journey mapping
Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
Technical Skills: Marketo or SFMC
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
Working knowledge of HTML/CSS
Experience with Adobe tools preferred
Familiarity with marketing analytics and reporting tools
