Job Summary
SPX is a diverse team of unique individuals who all make an impact. As a Marketing Co‑Op, you’ll play a hands‑on role in supporting the growth of a leading manufacturer in HVAC Engineered Air Movement. Your work will help strengthen brand visibility, enhance customer engagement, and support product launches that directly impact air movement and energy efficiency. You’ll collaborate with cross‑functional teams to bring technical products to life through clear, compelling marketing content and data‑driven insights. This role is ideal for someone who is curious, organized, and eager to learn how marketing operates within a technical, engineering‑driven environment.
Job Responsibilities
Assist in developing marketing materials such as product sheets, brochures, case studies, and presentations.
Support digital marketing initiatives including website updates, SEO optimization, and social media content.
Conduct market research on competitors, industry trends, and customer segments.
Help coordinate email marketing campaigns and track performance metrics.
Maintain and organize digital asset libraries, including photos, videos, and technical documents.
Collaborate with product management and engineering teams to translate technical information into customer‑friendly messaging.
Assist with trade show preparation, virtual events, and promotional activities.
Analyze marketing data and prepare reports to support decision‑making.
Required Experience
Prior internship or project experience in marketing, communications, or related fields is helpful.
Experience with digital tools (e.g., social media platforms, CMS systems, or analytics tools) is a plus.
Preferred Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Basic understanding of marketing principles, branding, and content creation.
Interest in manufacturing, engineering, HVAC, or technical products is beneficial.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to translate complex or technical information into clear, engaging content.
Solid organizational skills with attention to detail.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
Familiarity with design tools (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) is a bonus.
Work independently in a remote environment while staying connected to the team.
Manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams.
Demonstrate curiosity, initiative, and a willingness to learn.
Education & Certifications
Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Engineering Technology, or a related field.
Must be eligible for a co‑op or internship program through your academic institution.
Travel is typically minimal and planned in advance.
This is a fully remote position.
Requires reliable internet access and the ability to work effectively in a home‑office setting.
Collaboration occurs through virtual meetings, digital communication tools, and shared project platforms.
May involve coordinating with team members across multiple time zones.
