For more information, visit https://www.NFP.com . Summary The Account Manager II works with Consultants to service client accounts. This role manages the renewal process from start to finish, leads open enrollment presentations, and actively builds client relationships. Day‑to‑day client service, project management, and vendor coordination are key responsibilities. Responsibilities Client Interaction and Relationship Management – Serve as primary client contact, address needs, maintain communication; build and deepen relationships through meetings and events; present information and address client questions. Project and Deliverable Management – Own delivery of all client deliverables, coordinate with internal teams; manage lifecycle and renewal process; lead implementation of new business and open enrollment processes. Vendor and Shared Services Coordination – Coordinate with vendors to ensure seamless service delivery, build strong relationships; ensure shared services and support functions meet client needs. Compliance and Regulatory Support – Review benefit plan summaries, ensure regulatory compliance; partner with Compliance team; stay informed on legislation such as COBRA, HIPAA, ERISA, Section 125, and Health Care Reform; oversee the 5500 process. Renewal and Marketing Process – Manage renewal and marketing from start to finish, negotiate with carriers, recommend renewal actions, develop and execute marketing plans with consultants and analysts. Client Resources – Update employee and client communications after enrollment or coverage changes; input data promptly into CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce). General Administrative Support – Maintain accurate documentation of client interactions and deliverables; prepare regular reports; collaborate with team members and contribute to process improvements. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong understanding of benefits administration, industry trends, carrier products and services. Proven ability to manage client relationships and anticipate client needs. Excellent communication skills, both written and oral. Strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills. Project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Effective time management and decision‑making skills. Presentation and public speaking abilities. Education and Experience 3+ years of experience in benefits account management or a related field. Preferably a bachelor's degree. Base salary range is $41,000 to $80,000, determined by experience, credentials, education, certifications, skill level, scope of position and geographic location.
