Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and dynamic Account Manager to work on our Target business, with at least 2 years experience working with Target in the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) sector.

As the Account Director you will be responsible for driving topline growth and profitable margin through strategic management of the Target business via execution and adaptation of business plans. This role requires relationship-building skills, and a results-oriented mindset. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions that retailers & our brands needs market share goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Account Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with Target buyers and planners, ensuring the retailer processes are followed.
  • Strategic Planning: Create and implement account plans that align with overall business objectives and drive profitable revenue growth.
  • Sales Execution & Planogram Development: execute sales initiatives, identifying new business opportunities, maintain timing & action grids, build Planograms for implementation and refreshes.
  • Market Analysis: Analyze market trends and competitive landscape to inform sales strategies and identify areas for growth.
  • Sales Forecasting: In partnership with Target and demand planning, create and maintain sales and expense tracking and forecasting.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, product/POS development, marketing, and supply chain teams to ensure alignment and effective execution of initiatives.
  • Negotiation: Lead line review & other negotiations including pricing/placement strategies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in sales at Target, with a focus on the CPG industry.
  • Proven track record of managing key accounts and driving sales growth.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with customers and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Target POL systems & analysis tools
