Position Overview:
The Account Executive is a high-velocity "Founding AE" role designed for an elite hunter. You will
be the engine of Vijil’s expansion, transitioning the company from founder-led sales to a
repeatable revenue machine. Reporting directly to Head of Sales, you will own the end-to-end hunt for enterprises and fast-growing startup accounts that are desperate to bring AI Agents into production with resilience.
Role Responsibilities:
● Territory Building: Design and execute a strategy to build out territories from the ground up.
● Active Hunting: Maintain a high-intensity outbound motion to secure net-new logos in a nascent,
high-noise market.
● Pipeline Generation: Self-generate qualified pipeline (targeting $500k in your first quarter) by
leveraging targeted outreach and strategic channel relationships like AWS and Guidepoint
Security.
● POC Management: Drive the Proof of Concept (POC) process, aiming for 3 successful pilots in
your first ramp phase to prove value.
● Market Presence: Represent Vijil at major industry events, including RSA, developer conferences, and partner
Qualifications:
● Industry Expertise: A strong background in SaaS or Cybersecurity sales; specific AI
infrastructure experience is a significant "nice-to-have".
● Hunter Mentality: Demonstrated ability to build a greenfield territory and hunt for new business
independently.
● Market Savvy: Ability to sell effectively in a nascent market and articulate a clear value prop
amidst industry hype.
● Technical Curiosity: Deeply researched understanding of AI security and a clear, personal
motivation for why Vijil is the right next step.
● Startup DNA: Comfortable with early-stage ambiguity and capable of pivoting strategy based on
customer feedback and POC results.
● Location: While this is a remote opportunity, the ideal candidate will be able to participate in local
hubs, investor meetings, and regional events.
