Shopify Architect / Developer (DTC Ecommerce) 8am to 4.30pm US EST Monday to Friday
Overview We are looking for a high-level Shopify Architect / Developer to own the technical vision and execution of our DTC Ecommerce experience. This is a full-time role for someone who can operate across both development and design, with a strong focus on building scalable, high-performing Shopify environments. The ideal candidate combines hands-on coding ability, a strong design sensibility, best-in-class release worflows, and architectural thinking. You should be able to not only build, but also define how the system should be built and pushed into production.
Responsibilities Own the Shopify architecture for a growing DTC Ecommerce brand Design and implement scalable, high-performance Shopify solutions Build and customize themes using Liquid, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS Lead technical direction across site structure, integrations, and performance Optimize site speed, UX, and conversion rate across the funnel Manage and implement third-party integrations (Rebuy, Recharge, APIs, etc.) Collaborate with marketing, design, and product teams on new launches and campaigns Ensure best practices in code quality, testing, and deployment Troubleshoot complex technical issues and implement long-term solutions
Requirements Strong Shopify / Shopify Plus architecture experience Proven experience working with DTC Ecommerce brands Proficiency in Shopify Liquid, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS Experience with API integrations and backend logic Strong understanding of UX/UI and conversion optimization Ability to balance design, performance, and scalability Experience owning projects from concept to deployment
Bonus Experience Working with DNS, Shopify and Akamai/Cloudflare Managing Shopify Plus marketplaces
