Deployment Strategist – AI / Enterprise
New York (preferred) or San Francisco | On-site
$180K–$350K + equity
We’re supporting a well-funded, early-stage AI business (12-person team, backed by top-tier VCs) in hiring a Deployment Strategist to own how AI is rolled out across a specific industry vertical.
This is a rare opportunity to step out of advisory and into true ownership - operating at the intersection of strategy, product, and commercial execution.
The role: Own an industry vertical end-to-end (e.g. financial services, consulting) Identify high-value workflows and design AI deployment strategies Leverage your network to land initial pilots and expand across organisations Work directly with enterprise clients to drive adoption Partner closely with engineering to shape product direction
We’re looking to speak with individuals who have: 5–10 years’ experience within top-tier environments such as McKinsey, BCG, Bain, or leading financial institutions / investment firms (e.g. Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, JP Morgan, Evercore, Lazard, Blackstone, KKR, Carlyle, Apollo) Alternatively, experience within highly analytical, data-driven environments (e.g. Bridgewater, Two Sigma or similar) A strong network they can actively leverage First-hand exposure to operational challenges within their industry (not just strategy) An interest in how AI can be practically deployed to transform workflows This is best suited to individuals who want to build something from the ground up, rather than operate within a defined playbook.
Initial questions we’ll cover: Are you able to be on-site in New York or San Francisco, or open to relocating? How would you leverage your existing network to build an initial customer pipeline? Why do you think many AI tools fail to gain adoption in your industry, and how would you approach this differently? What are your salary expectations? How actively are you exploring new opportunities?
