Director of Sales - Americas .

Salary plus bonus; salary range is dependent upon experience Hybrid role with the ability to work from home when not traveling or onsite at the U.S. manufacturing facility (in the Upstate region of SC) This leader will need to be located within an hour of the Greenville/Spartanburg, SC area. Relocation assistance to the region is available. Will directly manage a team of Sales Representatives in North and South America (1 in the U.S., 1 in Canada, 1 in South America) 25%+ travel

SUMMARY : Provide the leadership to build the sales growth and commercial performance of both North America and South America. This will include strengthening the current position and reputation within the market through capitalizing on the company's core competencies, product range and value-added services as well as focusing on the achievement of growth and market penetration. Ensure alignment with global strategy and culture and provide clear leadership to improve the effectiveness of the sales teams and enable the achievement of sustainable, profitable growth.

REQUIREMENTS:

Must have 5+ years of sales leadership experience with a manufacturing company that supplies FMCG, packaging and/or paper goods to the QSR (quick service restaurant) industry 10+ years of sales experience, with 5+ years leading a sales team located in multiple countries (North and South America preferred) Experience with a global company that is headquartered overseas is strongly preferred Bachelor’s degree required, MBA preferred Strong leadership skills at senior or executive management level, matched with management capability to ensure clear focus to drive results Personal integrity and passion for achievement; high energy and resilience Track record of driving improvement across all areas of business, including people capability, financial performance and expense reduction Experience in culturally diverse markets, understanding customs, communication, behaviors and traditions would be an advantage Strong evidence of achievement of personal and business objectives in line with set priority and timeframes Proven experience negotiating multi-year supply agreements with multinational brands Existing network in packaging or affiliated industries aligned with role Ability to drive a new business development culture and lead from the front

JOB DUTIES INCLUDE: Drive accountability for results across all levels and functions, including sales, commercial, market, customer service, product and supply chain management. Utilize strategic market forecasting strategies to anticipate and plan the resource requirements that will position the company for future success. Develop and document the strategic plan for sales in the Americas, and provide ongoing leadership in the roll out, implementation and achievement of the plan. Drive the ongoing performance of the business, achieving improvement across all areas and stretching capability to achieve maximal results. Ensure delivery against key objectives that align with the overall priorities for the Americas. Ensure the ongoing development of service standards of excellence, consolidation of strategically beneficial relationships with key customers and distributors for the markets. Develop an effective senior industry network to best position the brand in the US marketplace. Provide leadership that will challenge, develop and inspire the business to focus on improvement across all areas of performance and operations of the business. Actively shape and strengthen the culture of achievement within the sales teams to align with the company’s global vision and values. Coach and mentor the sales team to stretch capability and challenge the status quo. Drive the brand presence across the Americas, working with internal marketing leadership, and championing the brand in the local markets.
