Director of Accounting

Key Responsibilities • Lead and oversee the company’s accounting function, including financial close, consolidations, reporting, and compliance. • Manage, mentor, and develop the Controller and broader accounting team. • Serve as a key liaison with leadership during mergers, acquisitions, integrations, and other transactional activities. • Oversee financial statement preparation and ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and company policies. • Develop and enforce robust internal controls and accounting processes to support business scalability. • Partner cross-functionally with Operations, FP&A, and Executive teams to provide timely, accurate financial insight for decision-making. • Ensure appropriate application of POC accounting for relevant projects. • Manage relationships with external auditors and head/coordinate all audit activities. • Support strategic initiatives, including system and process improvements, to drive continuous operational and financial efficiency.

Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA highly preferred. • Minimum of 10 years of progressive accounting experience, including roles of increasing leadership responsibility. • Big 4 public accounting experience required, preferably combined with corporate leadership experience in a manufacturing or energy-oriented environment. • Demonstrated M&A transactional and integration experience. • Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, internal controls, and financial reporting standards. • Proven success in managing and developing high-performing teams. • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. • Manufacturing industry experience and familiarity with POC accounting preferred.
