Job Overview
The Client is seeking a
senior-level Technical Architecture Specialist / SSAS Developer
to support the development of a Research Data Repository and associated data initiatives. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in
SQL Server, SSAS, and BI development , with the ability to design and deliver scalable data models, cubes, and reporting solutions.
Key Responsibilities Design, develop, test, and implement
data models, SSAS cubes, and reporting solutions
to support analytics and research initiatives Work closely with business stakeholders to
gather requirements and translate them into BI/reporting solutions Develop and maintain
high-quality SQL code
and ensure best practices in data development Lead testing, validation, and deployment activities across the SDLC lifecycle Manage
data integration and automation processes
across multiple data sources Track project progress and communicate status updates to project managers and stakeholders Support production deployments and ensure smooth rollouts Provide
guidance and training to end users
on reporting tools and data usage Identify opportunities to improve
BI processes, standards, and methodologies Troubleshoot and resolve database and reporting issues Required Qualifications
Minimum
5+ years of experience
in BI/Data Development Strong hands-on experience with:
Microsoft SQL Server SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS)
(Multidimensional Cubes) SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
Advanced
SQL programming skills Experience working with
data modeling, data integration, and reporting solutions Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field Preferred Qualifications
Experience with:
SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) Microsoft Power Platform
Familiarity with:
Education domain / education data systems (e.g., PIMS) Data warehousing and research data environments
Understanding of
project management methodologies
(Agile, Waterfall, etc.) Work Requirements
Must be able to work
onsite in Dauphin County, PA (every Thursday) Ability to attend meetings, workshops, and training sessions as required
