Job Summary:
This is a one-year post doctoral appointment for recent PhD graduates, renewable for one additional year. It is intended for an individual interested in health professions/pre-medical education or interested in pursuing medical school education. Position will include teaching in collaboration with an experienced mentor as well as academic advising and coordinating between College of Health Professions and Upstate Admissions.
Responsibilities include:
Assist Clinical Laboratory Science faculty with teaching courses in fall and spring. Assist the Dept Chair and Program Director in advising Medical Scholars and Med Prep students. This includes participation in: Tracking student progress through the program. Participating in mock medical school interviews. Interviewing and serving on admissions committees for Med Preps and Medical Scholar programs. Participate in data collection (and potential publication) for program graduates. Minimum Qualifications:
PhDPhD (or before September 2026)
