As a Director, Data Engineering and Solutions Architecture, the person will lead the design, and execution of enterprise data solutions that power analytics, operational insights, and regulatory reporting. This role owns the end-to-end architectural integrity of the enterprise data warehouse ecosystem and ensures data solutions are scalable, governed, accurate, and audit ready.
In addition to setting architectural direction, this role leads major data initiatives and programs, acting as a primary liaison between technology teams and business, risk, compliance, and finance leadership. The Director ensures that business objectives and regulatory obligations are translated into sustainable, compliant data architectures and delivery plans. The role should be able to detail solutions including logical models that align with physical data models and work to reduce data redundancy, streamline data movements, and improve enterprise information management.
Job Responsibilities and Duties
Lead and govern major enterprise data initiatives, including:
Warehouse and platform modernization Regulatory reporting remediation or transformation programs Data consolidation and rationalization efforts New domain or subject-area data product rollouts
Partner with program and delivery leaders to define:
Architectural scope Target designs
Work with Product owners, Application owners and data architect to capture business requirements Develop data solutions across on-prem and Cloud platforms. Building processes for optimal extraction, transformation and loading of data from various data sources using AWS, Snowflake and SQL technologies Align data architecture with business requirements Architecting systems for Regulatory Reporting framework including lineage, auditability, reproducibility, historical restatement and as of reporting Awareness of Regulatory Principles, Controls and Audit Readiness Ensure compliance with all the data platform regulations, policies, and procedures. Education/Experience
15+ years of experience working on large scale, full lifecycle data implementation projects 5+ years of the AWS/Azure/GCP data stack: S3, Redshift, AWS glue, EMR, Snowflake Strong understanding of data modeling, algorithms, and data transformation techniques 2+ years BI Tools experience 5+ years in Oracle, SQLServer (No-SQL experience is a plus) 3+ Python or other scripting Knowledge of:
Data provisioning/integration tools AI, ML Technologies/Tools Strong interpersonal skills and excellent communication and presentation skills Deep knowledge of SQL Scripting Deep knowledge of all types of relational database systems
The estimated salary range for this position is $140,000.00 to $150,000.00. Actual salary may vary up or down depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position is eligible for incentive compensation.
