Role Summary The Event Producer is a mid-level leader responsible for owning and delivering events from concept through execution. This role bridges creative vision, client management, and operational execution, leading projects independently while collaborating closely with internal teams and leadership. You will develop proposals, budgets, and production plans, manage client relationships, and oversee execution across in-person, hybrid, and virtual events. You’ll also partner with senior leadership on larger accounts and support team growth. You’ll work closely with the Director of Sales, Project Managers, Technical Directors, and the Creative team to bring client visions to life, supporting proposals through on-site execution and post-event follow-up. This is a remote position; candidates must be based in the Washington, DC / Maryland / Virginia (DMV) area. Travel is required based on event needs.

Key Responsibilities Client & Project Leadership Serve as the primary client contact, leading meetings, presentations, and communications from concept through post-event follow-up. Translate client goals into clear production strategies and ensure alignment across internal teams. Support business development through proposals, RFP responses, and identifying opportunities to expand scope.

Event Planning & Pre-Production Lead development of event concepts, run-of-show, and overall audience experience in collaboration with Creative and Technical teams. Build and manage budgets, timelines, and deliverables to ensure projects stay on schedule and within scope. Coordinate with Project Managers, Technical Directors, and Operations on staffing, vendors, equipment, and logistics.

Event Logistics & Execution Oversee all phases of event execution from load-in through strike. Direct on-site teams and vendors to ensure seamless, high-quality delivery. Proactively manage issues in real time, ensuring a cohesive and impactful event experience.

Team Collaboration & Leadership Collaborate across Sales, Creative, Production, Operations, and Finance teams. Mentor Associate Producers and support team development. Partner with senior leadership on large-scale projects while independently managing events.

Post-Event & Financial Management Manage post-event closeout including budget reconciliation, invoicing, and reporting. Lead debriefs with internal teams and clients, capturing insights and improvements. Maintain organized project documentation and records.

What You Bring to the Table 5–7 years of experience in event production, experiential marketing, hospitality, or a related field. Proven ability to independently manage events from concept through execution, including client-facing leadership. Strong understanding of both creative development and technical/operational execution. Experience managing budgets, timelines, vendors, and cross-functional teams. Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Excellent written and verbal communication skills; confident presenting to clients and leading meetings. Ability to remain calm under pressure and make decisions in fast-paced, high-stakes environments. Must be based in the Washington, DC metro area (DMV region). Preferred skills include : Experience producing conferences, corporate events, or large-scale productions in an agency or production environment. Familiarity with design boards, renderings, site plans, and stage or room layouts. Experience contributing to proposals, RFP responses, and business development efforts. Strong creative instincts with the ability to balance innovation and feasibility.
