Carrier Engagement Specialist

Role Description Freight brokers put an incredible amount of trust in Highway and that trust will be extended to you. This role is responsible for engaging carriers and responding to inquiries to increase the adoption of Highway’s platform.
Your role: Engages with carriers through multiple different communication channels in order to get truck postings and submit freight quotes. Is highly responsive to carrier questions, concerns and ensures the highest level of customer service. Maintains the service of Highway’s application through monitoring, analyzing and review of any issues. Makes and suggests updates to the application as required to address system bugs and issues and to ensure the accurate operation of the application. Other duties include troubleshooting technical problems and providing individual solutions for users of Highway’s application. Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce errors. Summarize complex information in an easy-to-understand manner. Demonstrate responsiveness in responding to internal and external communication with the ability to manage multiple priorities at one time. Builds lasting relationships with carriers and users of the Highway app This role does require some remote and “on-call” after hours, weekends and holidays.
Qualifications Prior experience working in the transportation industry, preferably at a brokerage as a carrier rep. Technical aptitude and analytical problem solving skills. Become a Subject Matter Expert on Highway’s application. Excellent communication skills and thrives in a fast paced and urgent environment. Highly organized with a proven track record of managing multiple priorities within a deadline driven atmosphere- demonstrating high critical thinking skills and ability to make business decisions under pressure.
