is seeking a

Technical Writer for a Contract job in Raymond, OH . Ideally looking for applicants with a solid background in supporting product development teams and creating process documentation. The Technical Writer will be responsible for preparing documentation that defines roles, responsibilities, development processes, and best practices to ensure an efficient workflow.

Rate Range: $35/hour to $41/hour;

The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Technical Writer job responsibilities include: Establish and maintain effective communication with product development teams to understand workflows and documentation needs. Learn and analyze various aspects of product development processes to accurately document workflows. Create detailed process documents including process descriptions, work steps, inputs, and outputs for assigned activities. Identify tasks, responsible stakeholders, and organize them into structured documentation to clarify roles and responsibilities across teams. Prepare training materials based on process documentation to support onboarding and knowledge transfer. Review documentation with cross-functional teams, revise as needed, and obtain necessary approvals. Maintain and manage a centralized repository of process documentation. Develop and enforce documentation standards, structures, and guidelines. Prioritize workload and manage timelines to meet project deliverables. Collaborate with teams to generate creative and effective documentation solutions.

Desired Qualifications: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact across various teams and functions. 3+ years of technical writing experience or a Bachelor’s degree in Communications or a related field. Proficiency in documentation and collaboration tools such as Confluence, Flare, SharePoint, and Microsoft Office Suite. Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality deliverables. Basic project management skills with the ability to define and manage timelines. Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities. Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. Experience in developing structured documentation and training materials is preferred.
