Operational Co-founder (Alameda)
Y·US Ventures, Alameda, CA, United States
We're looking for an Operational Cofounder for Bridgit.
Not a title. Not a job. A role that determines whether this company succeeds.
About Bridgit Bridgit is an AI-powered platform that matches people for real-world 1:1 activities — coffee, hikes, gym sessions, dinners. Not dating. Not networking. We're building a fix for the loneliness epidemic, one matched pair at a time.
We're a European-founded team launching in California this spring. Live product. First venue partnerships confirmed. Selected to exhibit at Startup Grind Global. A small, efficient team that moves fast.
What we expect from you → Working with our technical co-founder — helping prioritize what to build, when, and how to test it against real user feedback from the field → Supporting our community & brand co-founder — giving her the structure and frameworks she needs to manage across cities → Managing our city launch operation — the Launch Partners and Ambassadors, the venue partnerships, the weekly rhythm, the metrics → Building the internal systems that let a small team operate without constant involvement → Owning the operational layer so everyone can stay focused
This is not a COO role at a Series B company. There are no departments to manage, no polished processes to inherit. You build them.
Who you probably are:
You've been inside an early-stage startup — not as an observer, as someone who built things from zero. You know what it means to figure out on your own. You're structured. You follow through. You create order from ambiguity without needing everything defined first. You care about the problem. The loneliness epidemic is real. Half of American adults feel it. You're not looking for a salary from day one. You have runway, or you're willing to work on equity while we raise. You want the upside of being genuinely early — not the comfort of a defined role. You're comfortable working across time zones, cultures, and with a team that spans Europe and the US.
What this is not:
→ Not a salaried full-time position right now → Not a support role or chief-of-staff title → Not for someone who needs a playbook handed to them
This is: a trial yet serious cofounder engagement, equity-first, with a real path to the title and the upside if it works.
Where Bridgit is now We're pre-seed, raising soon. The person who takes this role will help build the traction that closes that round. If they do, they're a cofounder — with equity, with a seat at the table, with the full role.
