Maven Royalty Management specializes in acquiring mineral and royalty interests in unconventional resource plays throughout the United States. MRM manages a family of funds structured to make direct investments on behalf of its investors. The company is a Registered Investment Advisor that oversees hundreds of millions in capital and assets.
We are a small, but growing, team that prides ourselves in doing excellent work and making intelligent investment decisions to create superb returns for our investors. We are looking to add depth to our finance and engineering departments by hiring a Financial Analyst.
The ideal candidate is graduating college in May or is an early-career Financial Analyst in the oil and gas industry and lives in the Shreveport-Bossier City area of Louisiana. They are intelligent and adaptable. They are also organized, dependable, and good at solving problems. They are looking to join a small company and are excited about working with the engineering, finance, and accounting teams.
For a candidate with no or little oil and gas experience, but other desirable qualities, we will put them through a rigorous 3rd party training program to ensure success.
Relevant skills, knowledge, and experience Desired exposure to oil and gas or private equity Degree in finance or analytics Analytical mind that doesn’t stop until a project is complete Ability to work independently while functioning as part of a team Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to excel under pressure Exposure to Microsoft products, especially Excel and PowerBI, and/or oil and gas software Exposure to DAX, python, SQL, etc.
Potential roles and responsibilities (will depend on experience) Gather and synthesize data from various sources Organize data so that reports and analysis can be refreshed quickly Analyze royalty payment information to ensure clients and funds are being paid correctly Create monthly and quarterly summary reports for clients and investors Create and manage financial models for investments Assist in managing oil and gas asset lists and databases Capture and update ownership, well status, and economic assumption changes Refresh and review data models and reports in PowerBI
