
Business Development Specialist (Sacramento County)

LHH is working with a fast‑growing, privately held financial consulting services organization in search of a Sales Development Representative/Lead to support and expanding service lines. This is a business development and outreach driven role, fit for someone eager to learn sales tactics and grow business relationships and win business. Someone with at least 1 year of previous SDR/BDR outreach experience would be a fit, with more years of experience eligible for a more Lead role.
The organization operates like a startup within a larger, well‑established company and offers significant visibility, resources, and runway for growth. This role is
fully remote , with flexibility to work in the candidate’s local time zone, and is ideally suited for someone energized by high‑volume outreach, strategy, and career progression. The role offers a BASE salary of $60k-90k, depending on years of experience, with OTE approximately $90k-$120k and additional medical, dental and vision benefits.
Your role: Drive outbound prospecting through cold calling, email, and LinkedIn to generate qualified meetings Monitor activity, conversion metrics, and pipeline quality to improve performance Establish and reinforce prospecting workflows, cadence standards, and best practices Support onboarding and ramp‑up of new SDRs, including training and ongoing feedback Collaborate with sales leadership and internal partners to align outreach with broader growth goals Maintain accurate tracking and reporting within CRM and sales engagement tools
You should have: 1-3+ years of B2B sales or sales development experience (SDR or BDR background) Strong outbound prospecting skills and comfort with high activity expectations Experience working toward meeting‑based KPIs and quota‑driven metrics CRM experience (Salesforce preferred; Salesloft a plus) Strong written and verbal communication skills with presence and confidence High energy, strong organization, and attention to detail Motivation to grow into a Business Development or sales leadership role
