Job:
We are seeking a highly experienced SAP EAM Functional Consultant to lead and support enterprise-wide SAP Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) initiatives. This role will be responsible for end-to-end functional design, configuration, and implementation of SAP EAM solutions, with a strong focus on Plant Maintenance (PM/SM) and Project Systems (PS). The consultant will act as a trusted advisor to business stakeholders, bridging business requirements with SAP best practices and emerging technologies.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Provide hands-on functional design, configuration, and implementation expertise in
SAP Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) , including
PM/SM and PS
modules. Lead and support
full lifecycle SAP EAM implementations , encompassing: Business requirements gathering Business workshops and gap analysis Blueprinting and solution design System configuration and customization Testing (unit, integration, UAT) Cutover planning, data migration, and go-live End-user training and post go-live support Assess current-state business processes, identify gaps and improvement opportunities, and define future-state EAM solutions aligned with business objectives. Translate detailed business requirements into comprehensive
functional and system design documents , ensuring accurate and efficient SAP configuration. Capture business capability requirements, functional requirements, and service-level expectations, and develop SAP EAM solutions aligned to a
business-IT roadmap
supporting long-term strategic goals. Collaborate with EAM architects and leadership to identify opportunities for
emerging technologies
and advise stakeholders on the impact of new technologies on existing systems and processes. Ensure business and functional requirements are fully traceable and maintained throughout the development and configuration lifecycle. Serve as a liaison between business stakeholders, vendors, project management, and technical teams to resolve issues, clarify requirements, and manage solution changes. Guide and validate
complex fit/gap analyses , ensuring deviations from standard SAP functionality are well-justified, value-driven, and aligned with business needs. Manage engagement risk and economics, including planning, budgeting, deliverable definition, and stakeholder buy-in for proposed solutions. Provide consulting services for both
new SAP EAM implementations
and
existing SAP support/enhancement projects . Deliver ad-hoc user training, knowledge transfer, and functional support as required. Work independently with minimal supervision and act as a
subject matter expert and mentor
to junior team members when needed.
