About the Opportunity
A growing
industrial automation and motion control distributor
is seeking a
high-performing Industrial Sales Representative
to drive new business, expand key accounts, and grow a defined territory.
This is a
hunter-style sales role
ideal for someone who thrives on winning new customers, building long-term relationships, and operating with true ownership of their territory, backed by strong technical and application support. You will represent a full suite of automation solutions and work closely with engineers and specialists to deliver value-driven, technical solutions to industrial customers. Key Responsibilities
Territory Growth & New Business Development Develop and execute a territory plan to achieve sales targets Prospect and win new accounts while expanding existing relationships Own and grow a defined industrial territory
Customer Relationship Management Build relationships with engineers, operations teams, and decision-makers Deliver consultative, solution-based selling approaches Position the organization as a trusted automation partner
Pipeline & Sales Execution Maintain a strong, active pipeline of opportunities Prepare proposals, quotes, and technical solutions Manage all activity and forecasting within CRM systems
Technical & Collaborative Selling Partner with engineers and product specialists on complex solutions Support demos, technical discussions, and solution design Coordinate internally to ensure successful customer outcomes
What We’re Looking For
Experience 3+ years of industrial technical sales or distribution experience Experience in one or more of the following: Motion control Machine control Robotics / automation Industrial safety systems
Skills Proven success in new business development and revenue growth Strong communication and relationship-building skills Ability to manage a territory independently Ability to understand technical products and solutions
Additional Technical degree preferred or equivalent experience CRM proficiency (Salesforce or similar) Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel
